Last September, the Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Architectures Hub (H.IAAC) at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) hosted an innovative immersion for Class 12 of the Strategic Management of Technological Innovation course, led by Prof. Dr. Ruy Quadros, also from Unicamp. The visit provided an enriching experience, allowing students to delve deeper into the most advanced research in artificial intelligence (AI) and its strategic applications, aligned with the national objective of strengthening technological sovereignty in Brazil.

The reception, organized by Prof. Dr. Leandro Villas and the Hub's postdoctoral researchers, offered a comprehensive overview of the Hub's seven research lines, with a focus on innovations that promote sustainable development and social inclusion. Collaborators from companies such as Siemens, Rhodia Brasil, Bosch, Microport Orthopedics, Instituto Eldorado, Cargill Agrícola, Lamberti Brasil Produtos Químicos, Ypê, Ourofino Agronegócios, Ernst & Young Brazil, Celera Fibras, Visa do Brasil, and Global Payments were present at the visit. It was a very productive experience.

During the event, visitors were able to learn how H.IAAC has been promoting ethical and safe AI, with a focus on protecting user data and privacy. Transparency and responsibility in the treatment of information are central pillars of the research conducted by the Hub, aligned with global technology governance guidelines.

With this visit, H.IAAC reaffirms its role of connecting with the innovation ecosystem on the national scene, demonstrating the development of solutions that balance economic progress, sustainability, social inclusion and contributing to technological knowledge on the national scene.
