Between October 15th and 17th, researchers from the research line Distributed Learning H.IAAC members were present at 3rd IEEE International Conference on Federated Learning Technologies and Applications (FLTA25), held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. They were five works presented, addressing cutting-edge topics in federated learning, privacy, communication efficiency, and applications in vehicular networks.

Professors Allan Mariano, Leandro Villas, and Luiz Bittencourt, along with master's student Gabriel Talasso, conducted a technical visit to the Cambridge Machine Learning Systems Lab at the University of Cambridge. During the visit, Professors Allan and Luiz presented the research developed in the Federated Learning area of H.IAAC, while Talasso presented his master's thesis. Gabriel Talasso will remain at the laboratory for two weeks, developing collaborative work with researchers from the Cambridge Machine Learning Systems Lab.

These participations reinforce H.IAAC's leading role in international research in Federated Learning, with relevant contributions to the advancement of distributed and secure artificial intelligence.
