Recognized excellence: three professors from H.IAAC receive institutional awards from UNICAMP.

On Friday, December 12, 2025, Unicamp held its annual institutional awards ceremony for faculty members. Among the award recipients were three professors working at H.IAAC, reaffirming the hub's relevance and impact on the university and society.

Prof. Dr. Paula Dornhofer Paro CostaProfessor Paula, coordinator of the Cognitive Architectures research line at H.IAAC, received two important recognitions: the Teaching Recognition Award for Dedication to Undergraduate Teaching and the ProEEC University Extension Award, which highlight the excellence of her academic and research work. It is worth noting that Professor Paula is the first woman from FEEC to receive these awards, an important milestone for the unit and for the university as a whole. 

O Prof. Dr. Anderson Rezende Rocha[Name], a collaborating researcher working in the Knowledge Representation research area at H.IAAC, was awarded the “Zeferino Vaz” Academic Recognition Prize, one of Unicamp's most prestigious distinctions, which values ​​excellence in research and the scientific contribution of its faculty. His career stands out for its internationally impactful academic production and leadership in projects that combine technological innovation and social responsibility.

Already Prof. Dr. Hélio Pedrini, A researcher associated with the Natural Language Processing research line at H.IAAC, he received the Teaching Recognition Award for Dedication to Undergraduate Teaching, an award that highlights his fundamental contribution to the training of engineers and researchers, marked by didactic quality, encouragement of critical thinking, and dedication to the human and professional development of students.

These achievements reflect not only the individual merit of each professor, but also the collective role of H.IAAC as a space of academic excellence, innovation, and ethical commitment.
