Excellence in Robotics: H.IAAC among the finalists of the SBC Competition!

08 oct 2025

It is with pride that H.IAAC celebrates the achievement of researchers in the Learning in Cognitive Architectures research line, Alana Santana Correia e Leticia Mara Berto, whose doctoral theses are among the finalists of the Thesis and Dissertation Competition in Robotics of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).

The thesis of Alana Santana Correia“DreamerRL: An RL Framework for Autonomous Development in Humanoid Robotics”, proposes significant advances in the application of reinforcement learning in humanoid robots, with a focus on autonomy and adaptability.

Now the research of Leticia Mara Berto“Built to Learn: An Intrinsically Motivated Approach to Incremental Learning in Robotics”, explores how intrinsic motivation can drive incremental learning in robotic systems, promoting greater efficiency and flexibility.

These nominations reflect H.IAAC's commitment to cutting-edge research and the development of talent that is shaping the future of robotics in Brazil and around the world.

Congratulations, Alana and Letícia! We're rooting for you!!
